That way, you can ensure your home or business is protected even when you're not in, and even when you're out of the country.

All our CCTV systems are fully compliant. We are a registered and accredited member of the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) for CCTV installations, which means we undergo regular compliance audits – a certificate of conformity is issued on every audit.

How does CCTV work?

CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) uses a video camera to transmit live images – and sometimes audio – to a monitor or video recording device. The ‘Closed Circuit’ part of the name means that it is not broadcasted publicly and remains private within your closed circuit. Once the camera and monitor and are setup you will then have the ability to view live images through multiple devices, including mobile smartphones, tablets and desktop computers.

Where should I place home CCTV Cameras?

Residential or home CCTV cameras should ideally be placed covering your front and back doors and any windows which are off-street. 34% of homes being broken into in 2018 was via the front door. Whilst 22% used the back door. Ideally, the camera should be placed at second-floor height in order to protect it from being damaged by criminals. If you live in a bungalow then it is possible to place a protected mesh cage around the camera.

How has CCTV helped reduce crime?

Without a doubt, CCTV is an effective deterrent for theft. It has proven more successful when used alongside other deterrents such as alarms, additional lighting and upgraded fencing. Homes which use CCTV are 300% less likely to be broken into compared to those without.
